Man suffering mental health crisis, draws large police presence in Winooski

WINOOSKI, Vt. (WCAX) – Police and Emergency Response crews had been on Major Avenue in Winooski Tuesday, responding to a report of a person affected by a psychological well being disaster.

Police say the 38-year outdated man had a knife and was speaking about taking his personal life. Winooski Police, Burlington PD’s Negotiators, the Emergency Response Workforce, Neighborhood Outreach Workforce, a Howard Middle psychological well being case employee all helped to get the person into protecting custody.

The person was taken to the UVM Medical Middle for analysis.

This name took about two hours and through that point site visitors was rerouted.

Nobody else was at risk, the person was alone on the time.
