North Dakota Airports get much needed financial boost from COVID relief

MINOT, N.D. – The U.S. Division of Transportation is sending COVID-19 reduction funding to fifteen airports throughout North Dakota.

The funding comes from the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Act that was signed by former president Donald Trump final March.

Minot Worldwide Airport obtained greater than $1.5 million.

The airport’s director stated it comes at a important time as air journey begins to bounce again.

“These funds are actually meant to assist us positive up our funds and assist us hold our heads above water whereas passenger site visitors and revenues are down,” stated Rick Feltner, Minot Worldwide Airport Director.

The 15 grants totaled $6.4 million.

The Municipal Airport Authority in Fargo obtained the biggest grant at greater than $3.5 million.
